If you’re wondering where the name Shire to Shore came from, you can blame Bilbo Baggins.
I’ve always related to Bilbo. I’m naturally a little timid, happiest with a routine and the comforts of home. But somehow, despite my best intentions, I always seem to find myself on unexpected adventures. Sometimes they’re carefully planned vacations. Other times they’re the stories you could never have made up if you tried.
This blog is where I’ll share those journeys.
Some posts will be practical travel guides with tips, itineraries, and honest reviews to help you plan your own adventures. Others will simply be stories—the funny mishaps, memorable encounters, and unexpected moments that remind me why getting out of my comfort zone is almost always worth it.
I don’t claim to be a travel expert. I’m just someone who loves discovering new places, whether they’re halfway around the world or just a few hours down the road. If something I learn makes your trip a little easier, or inspires you to take one you’ve been putting off — then this blog has done its job.
